Engaging with Waanyi People and key stakeholders to document the overarching vision and aspirations for tourism for Waanyi People, considering the cultural and environmental values, as well as the feasibility of tourism in Boodjamulla National Park.
Plan C, Gilvear Planning and TCL are developing a Boodjamulla National Park Strategic Redevelopment Plan to reflect the overarching vision and aspirations for tourism in BNP for Waanyi People, considering the cultural and environmental values, as well as the feasibility of tourism in the park.
The plan will translate Waanyi aspirations for tourism, cultural, economic and ranger functions into a workable concept identifying buildings, experiences and other infrastructure across the BNP and the Resources Reserve.
Works completed included preliminary engagement with Waanyi representatives, Department of Environment and Science, and Queensland Parks and Wildlife, as well as a Situational Analysis document that provides background research across the areas of governance, tourism markets, policy and strategy alignment, site analysis and planning framework.
