#Overview

Supporting Traditional Owners to realise self-identified aspirations with research, planning and strategy.

Plan C worked with the Gulf Region Aboriginal Corporation (GRAC) to develop a ten-year strategy and five-year economic development plan. As the key landowner and representative of the Traditional Owners of the Wellesley Island group, these documents will help inform GRAC decision-making for the next ten years.

This project was delivered with the assistance of Carpentaria Land Council Aboriginal Corporation (CLCAC) as part of the Prescribed Body Corporate (PBC) Capacity Building Project.

#Key Outcomes Achieved

The GRAC 10-Year Strategic Plan 2022-2032, presented over three volumes including Consultation Outcomes, Situational Analysis, and a director’s version.

The GRAC 5-Year Economic Plan 2022-2027

Three rounds of engagement with GRAC Directors to identify aspirations and resourcing.

Follow-up implementation studies and tourism planning.
